Counselor Lead Classes
Counselor Lead Classes (CLCs)
CLCs happen 2 times during our summer and the dates
change each summer. CLCs start on a Monday when
counselors are given a list of classes that the Director of
Camp Programming has created and asks their children to
pick one of the classes they want to take later in that week.
On the actual CLC day all campers will break early for a
12:00 lunch. At 12:30 all campers meet up in the pavilion
and get ready for CLCs. Staff that are teaching a class
are given an attendance sheet and campers names are
called and campers are sent with the staff person teaching
their class for 45 minutes. In those 45 minutes staff will
have 1 camper in each age group with them for the class
and will teach for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes they return
to the pavilion with their staff person and sit on their group
bench until all campers/staff have returned.
Examples of some classes that were held in past years
are:
Toothpick structures
Graham Cracker/Frosting Houses
Nature Forts
Synchronized Swimming
Water Balloon Yo Yos
GAK
Tie Dying
&
Ha wain Flower Bracelets
