YMCA Camp Harrington is dedicated to serving all
children regardless of need. Through our inclusion
program we offer children with disabilities and special
needs the ability to attend camp with the help of an aid if
necessary. Aids are limited in number and some children
are grouped on a 1:2 or placed with Sr. Counselors
dependent on the analysis of need from the pre-camp
meeting with our inclusion director. On a weekly basis
aids/staff will create goal sheets for the children to help
them make progress while at camp in a variety of areas.
Meanwhile, the Inclusion Director serves as the liaison
between the kids/families enabling us to provide the best
possible experience for the children and their families.
