LIT & LDP Program (13-14 year olds)

For our older campers we offer a Leader in Training and
Leadership Development Program.  LIT is for our 1st year
leaders and LDP is for our returning leaders.  As LITs our
leaders spend ½ their day in groups with younger campers
acting as big brother or big sisters.  The other ½ of their day
is spent operating the camp store, performing camp duties
(trash, recycling, office work, inventory, etc.) and
recreationally (high ropes climbing, sports, swimming, boating,
etc.).  As LDPs the Leaders are placed into tracks (counselor,
specialist, inclusion, etc.) and the LDPs spend 1/2 their time
with Jr. Counselors in camp as well as in their track. The
other ½ of their day is spent as the head Leaders operating
the camp store and performing camp duties (trash, recycling,
office work, inventory, etc.).  At the end of the summer the
LDPs and LITs have a
potluck dinner with their families to
show off what they learned during the past summer.  During
the Spring a
renuion in planned for past Leaders to catchup
with each other at an offsite location for a social event.
