Outdoor Center Policies and Procedures
|
Welcome to the YMCA Harrington Outdoor Center. The Outdoor Center is a family facility that is
maintained as a safe wholesome environment for people of all ages. We appreciate your
cooperation with the following policies and procedures. They have been established to enhance
your “Harrington Experience” and to protect the property.
1. Please park your cars in the area next to the Camp Office or in the in the lot at the
entrance to the Center. You may load and unload vehicles at the site you are using, but they
should be returned to the parking lot so that a smooth flow of traffic can be maintained and to
ensure access to all areas for emergency vehicles.
2. The Outdoor Center is a multi-use facility so it is important that you make advance
reservations for all the facilities you wish to use. You may come in contact with other groups
simultaneously using the Center; give them a warm greeting and extend your consideration and
courtesy to their programs.
3. The following activities need to be pre-arranged with the Center Director and
appropriately supervised:
- --Use of the Waterfront area
- --Use of the Ropes Course and Rock Wall
- --Fishing
- --Outdoor Fires
4. With youth/teen groups, we require a ratio of 1 adult for every ten youth/teen.
5. We have provided a dumpster for disposal of all waste/trash
6. Sorry, no pets may be brought onto property
7. Enjoy the beauty around you! Take only pictures, leave only footprints. Thank you – from
all the wildlife!
8. The hours between 10:00pm and 8:00am are courtesy hours during which we ask you to
keep noise and activities to a minimum
9. You may make local phone calls, free of charge, in the lodge. All other calls must be by
cell phone, calling card, collect, or third party.
10. If you have any questions or concerns during your stay, please contact the Center
Director (Steve Lockney) at 508 335 5696 or drop by the Director’s home located next to the
lodge.
Thank You for Being Our Guest!
